The brightness of about fifty singers, the music inspiration of the Director Carlo Bennati and the sonorities of the instrumentalists: here is the unique mix of Chorus!
Chorus is a choral and instrumental group born in 1995 and conducted by Carlo Bennati. At present the group is composed of fifty singers and three instrumentalists: Lorenzo Sartori at the bass and contrabass, Roberto Maschi at the drums and Fabio Furlan at the piano.
Wide is the repertoire which goes from light to popular international music (Israeli, South-American, African, spiritual music), soundtracks, cartoons songs, up to famous international songs. However, there are also a cappella songs of popular inspiration and classical music. The most of the repertoire is written out by the Director, who suggests original arrangements with engaging alternations of musical styles, of choral moments and soloists’ interventions.
Chorus is particularly careful to the quality and to the content of the texts, always inspired by fundamental human values like peace, friendship, solidarity and freedom: because of this style choice the group often performs in concerts supporting charities, cultural and public institutions picking up the consent from a large audience and the favour of the press.
Guest of Rai 2 and Rai Internationals, Tele Pace and other private televisions, the group has many fans who follow him even in concerts abroad.
